Eyes be making you depressed? From eliminating puffs, bags and soothing sore, red peepers. Here's  how you can keep your eyes healthy and mornings dazzling.

Common causes range from sleep deprivation to dirty city pollution and most importantly, your diet! If the veins are always visible it’s likely you just need to get more sleep. Of course, be sure to rule out other factors such as conjunctivitis on your next routine eye check (you seem intelligent folk, i'm sure you're in attendance frequently... perfect!)
During the summer months, smog, dust particles and the UV rays can cause irritation to the eyes and delicate skin, be sure to wear those beautiful huge shades to reduce exposure.

These could be signs of food allergies or unknown intolerance. 

We suggest you take 10 minutes to write down you typical weekly meals and then identifying risk food types. 

For example, for a week – replace all dairy products with non-dairy replacements and see if there is any reduction, if not, feel free to continue and test anther food type.  Alternatively, take a test http://www.yorktest.com/.You will get back a detailed insight into any food allergies you may likely have.

Advice: Reduce processed consumption, sugar and certainly alcohol. 

An old 80’s model trick ice cubes – Clingfilm/ thin cloth – place over eyes for up-to 10 minutes. 

Brew some chamomile tea using 2 bags and once cooled gently press onto eyes – lying down (obvious reasons). 

Alternatively cucumber slices have enzymes that reduce puffy skin – this also is true of potato and can be grated, placed in cloth  then gently press over eye area for 3 minutes. 

Other hacks include:
  1. Essential Oils: Rosemary
  2. Turkish bath/ sauna
  3. Treadmill sessions
  4. Face over very hot bowl with towel over head
  5. Soak Face Towel – ring so it’s wet but not dripping – place in microwave for 15 seconds (or until steam is seen) place over face until cool



Cosmetics too may be causing havoc with your skin, check what’s inside your products, eliminating as necessary.
